APPRECIATION #4: ON DECK CIRCLES

For me, on deck circles is another way of saying lists, of saying things to do or write about later. If you have these lists, you’re never completely stuck, and you never have to start from scratch. I plan to write about these things soon:

Jimmy Carter, E.B. White, William Stafford, Yogi Berra, educated decisions, singing, confusing coffee shops, the Pope, late night talk show hosts, knowing what you’re supposed to do with your life, God & Google & Gustav, bad words, offensive Christians, Texas Republicans, the 5th list, writing a book, poetry, being scolded by the Oregon poet laureate for taking notes while he was speaking, stand up comedy, running, Trever Noah, trees, pine cones, and the war on boredom,  etc.
